PDFPageLab / Split a PDF

Split a PDF into separate files

Break a long PDF into smaller ones. Choose page ranges, split every few pages, or save every page on its own. Your file stays on your device.

Free. No account. Your file stays on your device.

How to split a PDF

  1. Open your PDF

Drop the file onto the editor. Every page appears as a thumbnail, so you can see what you are cutting.

  2. Choose how to split

Select Split…, then enter ranges like 1-3, 4-6, 7, set a page count for each part, or split into single pages.

  3. Download the ZIP

Each part is its own PDF, bundled into one ZIP. Rotations, flips, deletions and the page order you set are kept.

Ways to split a PDF

By range. Type the pages for each new file, separated by commas. 1-3, 4-6, 7 makes three PDFs. Use this to pull chapters, sections or a single invoice out of a bundle.

Every N pages. Handy for scans where each document is the same length. Splitting a 12-page scan every 2 pages gives six two-page files.

One file per page. Turns a scanned stack into individual page files you can name and send separately.

Questions

Is there a page or file-size limit?

There is no limit set by the tool. The limit is your device's memory, and a modern laptop handles PDFs with hundreds of pages.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied across as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their original quality.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Not directly. Remove the password first in the program that created it, then open the file here.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. The splitting happens inside your browser tab. The file never leaves your device.
